Howdy! 👋
Big Hill Runners is a community-driven running club based in Cochrane, Alberta. We run the pavement, dirt, and everything in between — from town pathways to foothill trails. Whether you’re training for your first race, exploring new trails, or just looking for people to run with, you’re welcome here.
What we believe:
- Running is better together
- Hills make us stronger
- All paces have a place
- Consistency matters more than speed
- Community comes first
What we do:
We organize regular road and trail runs throughout the week, with routes that highlight Cochrane’s pathways, foothills, and surrounding trails. Some runs are social and conversational, others are a bit more challenging — but the goal is always to get out and move together.
Who it's for:
Big Hill Runners is for runners who enjoy variety, value community, and don’t mind a hill or two along the way. If you like mixing road and trail, running year-round, and sharing miles with good people, you’ll fit right in.
Where we run:
We’re based in Cochrane, Alberta, at the edge of the foothills. Our runs reflect that — rolling terrain, open skies, river pathways, and trails that head west toward the mountains.
How to get involved:
The best way to get involved is to join us on social media, where we post run details, updates, and upcoming events. Come out for a run, introduce yourself, and see what we’re about.
